Nikos-

The question is: "Who will pay for the sevices and products you offer."
And, what will they pay. If you can answer those, you have the start of
a business plan.

The issue for most museums is that people aren't programmed to pay the
true cost of the services they receive at a science center - the costs
are subsidized by donations, etc. To attract VC you will need to
demonstrate a model that makes a profit - something that few museums do.
Not impossible, but the task will require some new thinking based on
what museums are and are not doing today.

Good luck and let us know how you are doing. If you succeed, others will
follow.

Hello all,

After working for some years in a university for educational
technologies,
ICT, and collaborated with science centers in other countries, for many
projects, I want now to write a business plan in order to find a VC for
starting a science center, in my town, in Greece.

Do you know where I can find usefull material , on starting up a new
company
for promoting science in the public?

Are there any online (or offline) material for market analysis, or a
business plan?

Any books? Websites?

Could you please help me with material?

Or with anything you think it will be useful.

Thank you in advance

Best regards,

Nikos
