All I can say is that hearing about Dave Taylor's death was like a kick in 
the stomach.  He's gone, that's it.  In addition to his phenomenal contributions 
to the field, Dave was such as great guy -- funny, interesting, sharp, 
insightful.  Besides that, he was a good person, with high integrity, kind, 
considerate, all those things we all aspire to.  We are all going to miss him, he 
can't be replaced.
