Just a side note: if you're googling for sites that sell J-Lube, some
are NSFW.

Forget glycerin. Really. J-lube (polyethylene oxide) is astonishingly
effective. Between 2g and 6g of J-lube powder per 10 litres of 20:1
water/detergent. Not all detergents work equally well of course, but you
already know that.

Just look what I can do!

very well for bubble-making but don't know if it affects plumbing. Be
forewarned that bubble juice made with this stuff is very slippery if it
gets onto a hard floor.

I'd like to add glycerin or a polymer to 2 of the stations in our
exhibit. I was summarily shut down with the reason that the glycerin
would cause even more problems with the pipes. I argued that I was
talking about 1 capful at each station (one station holds about 3 1/2
gallons, the other holds about 10), and at this dilution, it wouldn't
really make a difference.
