As you evaluate visitor interactions, you might also think of comment
sheets, video feedback and, of course, visitor podcasts as a sort of
collaboration, just not face-to-face. In a study we did on written
comments left by visitors to an exhibition at the Ontario Science Centre,
we found that some of the most interesting ones were written in response
to other visitors' comments, which had been posted in the exhibition by
the OSC. If you're curious, we published a paper on the study, entitled
'Visitor Comments and the Socio-cultural Context of Science', in Museum
Management and Curatorship, 19 (4):355-69.
