Hi Again,

So I appreciate the feedback I got concerning my questions on the
science of the zip line. Those conversations led me to this follow up
for the group, especially those that know the policies and procedures of
this listserv. It has been brought up that it might be helpful for us(at
McWane) to have a Content Advisory Committee through which we run our
content through to get an impartial (but informed and educated) view
point. In an effort to avoid starting up yet another committee which
would lead to even more meetings I was wondering if this listserv was
the appropriate venue to be ask such questions..

I would send content for review periodically to get feedback from any of
you out there who are interested in replying and weighing in. If this is
not an appropriate use of this listserv would a few of you be willing to
provide me with your private emails and I could email you directly to
you.

I love the discussion from different viewpoints that such questions
address so I hope we can use the listserv for this purpose but will be
equally happy with discussions generated from a smaller subset if that
is what is best.

Thanks, Kathy

Oh, and the final decision on the zipline was to talk about it terms of
the wheels in the trolley system rather than to call it a simple machine
since it seems it is a pulley but not acting as one and it a wheel but
not truly a wheel and axle.
