Why not look at evaluation a a learning tool not only as a way of improving
the visitor experience for the the exhibition you are working on and the
next exhibition you are going to do? We learn my creating and testing in
many different way s but one way is to write down goals for the
exhibit/exhibition. If it does not then we have to figure out how to fix it
and this is a learning process which hopefully accumulate for the next
project. And if we report this then others may learn as well. With this
conceit I think there are no straight jackets but an exercise that is a
learning experience for all.
