ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Each Summer the National Science Resources Center (NSRC) of the
Smithsonian offers a series of professional development academies for
science teachers.  These academies include excellent sessions presented
by museum curatorial and education staff from several Smithsonian
facilities as well as by scientists from world class research
facilities. These academies serve as a model for successful partnerships
between schools, museums, science centers, and local science facilities.

 Last year, the NSRC secured scholarships for informal science educators
to attend an academy at no cost.  We will likely receive funding for
these scholarships again for the 2008 Academies.  I would like to have a
list of interested candidates if and when the scholarships become
