Hi,

This is a call for session proposals from the informal science education community for the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) annual conference, "At the Crossroads for Science Education,"  to be held in Indianapolis, IN, March 29 - April 1,  2012. Sessions will be distributed between Informal Science Day, organized by NSTA's ISE committee, and a 10-hour strand of sessions allocated to the Association of Science-Technology Centers (ASTC) as the informal science affiliate.

If you are interested in proposing a session, please forward the following information in a separate email to the committee at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>  by COB May 27, 2011.  Please include:

1)    Sector or area of informal science you represent:  Afterschool; museum, zoos and aquariums; multimedia/digital; university programs; other

2)    Presenter information: Name; institutional affiliation; address (street, city, state, zip code); phone/fax/email contact information for primary and secondary presenters

3)    Session information: Title; short description (25 words); science content area; session abstract (150-200 words)

Sessions will be allotted a one-hour time slot. Selections will be made by ISE committee members, and will consider representation by multiple sectors, institutions, and content areas. You will be notified of the status of your session proposal in early June, 2011.
