Dear ASTC colleagues,

We are pleased to announce that the solicitation for the Research and Evaluation on Education in Science and Engineering (REESE) program has now been released. It is document NSF 12-552, and has a submission deadline of 17 July 2012. The full solicitation can be accessed online, in a variety of formats, from the following URL:

http://www.nsf.gov/publications/pub_summ.jsp?WT.z_pims_id=13667&ods_key=nsf12552

There are three general changes from the previous solicitation. First, the program has merged the Fostering Interdisciplinary Research in Eduction (FIRE) opportunity into REESE as an award type. Second, there are some changes to the invited strands within REESE. One new strand is on secondary data analyses; the other new strand in on Broadening Participation Research. More detail is available in the solicitation itself.

Please read the new solicitation carefully and consider if your work aligns well with the REESE program’s funding goals. If you have any questions regarding the program, you can send email to a group account for REESE program officers, [log in to unmask] This information is public, so please feel free to share widely.
