ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Great idea. We actually do something similar to this as well. The public school board in Toronto has identified a group of schools (approx 100) that are in 'at risk' neighbourhoods in the city, and needy in a number of ways and therefore eligible for additional school board supports. When we first learned about this a couple years ago, we did some analysis and saw that these identified schools
only came to the Science Centre for school visits sporadically, at best. We implemented a program, extending our existing access program that offered discounted admissions, to these schools. The offer was that they could come to our Centre and take a program, free of charge, from September to April. The good news - we got incremental attendance of 30,000 and the program became a notable source
for our fundraising efforts. Extra good news - these kids got a science centre visit with a curriculum linked program that otherwise they could not have afforded - it's high on the 'feel good' scale.
