ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

ASTC is soliciting proposals for the ten, one-hour sessions that NSTA allows its affiliates during the national conference each year. We invite informal educators to consider submitting a proposal for one of the available session slots. The 2013 National Science Teachers Association Annual Conference is in San Antonio, Texas, April 11 - 14.

Topics for the 2013 ASTC strand may include any area at the intersection of formal and informal education. Of special interest are proposals that consider the Next Generation Science Standards, impacts and implications for informal science education.

Proposals will be reviewed by ASTC and members of the NSTA Informal Science Committee. Proposed sessions should:

 * relate to science learning across institutional boundaries
 * be in alignment with current research in science teaching and learning
 * model innovative professional development strategies
 * NOT be commercial in content

If you are interested in securing a session slot at the San Antonio conference, please submit a session description no later than Thursday, June 14. A submission form can be found at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/S9KZ78V.
You will be notified about the status of your proposal by June 22.

Please contact me if you have specific questions: [log in to unmask]
