ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

We are in the process of creating a Science Center in South Bend, IN and are looking for information regarding how Science Centers demonstrate their need. Did you, or have you, conducted needs assessments as a systematic exploration of the divergence or discrepancy between the current situation or level of services (What is) and the desired situation or level of services (What should be). We are talking about the entire Center and not individual programs. We are going to be surveying educational institutions and local businesses but would like more guidance if there is any to receive.
