Hi Jeff,

You might be interested in investigating IFTTT.  ("IF This Then That").

It is an Internet-enabled service that lets you control all sorts of
digital and analog things (like exhibit switches) via "triggers" that you
can set or modify.

I've just started playing around with IFTTT, so I'm not sure if it will
meet your specific needs, but it's worth a look:
