ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Hi All,

We at the New York Hall of Science are applying for a grant through which
we would develop an on-line resource for museums, schools, and parents that
have an interest in engaging young children (ages 2-6) in Maker
programming. The on-line resource would include a framework (including
facilitation methods) and curriculum (including extensive video-based
materials) that embody the essential characteristics of the Maker
sensibility -- deep engagement with exploration, problem solving,
collaboration, experimentation, sharing, and playfulness -- in a way that
makes for inspired young STEM learners. The project will also involve a
community of practice where museum educators who are engaged in this work
can continue the conversation and learn from each other. All we want to
know is if this is something that you may find useful in your work? Thanks
so much.

Lee
