Booking online is an interesting double-edged sword. The teachers who just want a walk through self-guided visit (usually the "fieldtrip-as-day-off" ilk) are fine with online registrations. The teachers who really want to DO something prefer a live human being. Also, I once experimented with listing workshops online and having teachers book online - we found that you had to use a supermarket-style inventory software package that would count how many workshops there were booked for a particular day, when the spaces were full, etc. It was pretty removed from the person-to-person that most folks seem to want.
