Hi Reagan -

The switches that I use in all my interactive exhibits are made by 
Tapeswitch Corporation. I believe what I purchase is called an "under carpet 
switch runner". These switches are the same ones that were used in the foot 
piano in the movie "Big" (or at least that's what they tell me - ha!).  But 
I have had no issues with them wearing out.
