	Qxygenated blood red cell containsn oxy-hemoglobin which is bright  
red. When oxygen is displaced by carbon dioxide carbaminohemoglobin is  
formed which is dark red; not quite blue. Yes arterial blood, from the  
lungs, is oxygen rich and bright red; venous blood, going back to the  
lungs is darker red.
