I notice many of the conversations on evolution revolve around what people 'believe' which seems like it puts the question more in a religious context right out of the gate.
 
Maybe it doesn't make a bit of difference but we don't usually talk about believing in the laws of thermodynamics or the theory of relativity, usually we talk about evidence supporting those concepts or contradicting those concepts.  I don't know that I believe in evolution so much as the preponderance of evidence that I know about is consistent with what I know about evolution.
