Dear Friends and Colleagues,

A number of people have asked me how Dave Taylor is doing. Unfortunately,
he and JoAnn learned last week that his condition is such that a liver
transplant would probably not be successful and that even getting though the
operation would be doubtful.

On Friday, Dave decided to be moved home under hospice care where he can be
around familiar surroundings, the people and cats he loves, and to enjoy the
view of the Puget Sound.

He appreciated the many cards, videotapes and books-on-tape he received from
people everywhere. In the last month, his significant impact on the Science
Center field was mentioned at gatherings of science center professionals
from around the world. His latest contributions to the research regarding
how girls learn in a science center environment are in the latest issue of
the ASTC Dimensions.

I will write again when I have more information to share.

Dennis
