Bible Times Tech - the technology of then and now.

Teaming together with local archeology researchers of Israel and museum
professionals, SciTech researched and developed the traveling exhibit -
Bible Times Tech - the technology of then and now.

This exhibit is composed of 60 archeological artifacts from
Israel, dating around the Bible era (Iron Age, 1,200 BCE).
These artifacts relate to daily life functions and technologies -
storing and cooking, perfume and makeup, lamps, weaving,
weighing and paying, grinding grains and burials.
In each of twelve cases, the original artifacts are placed next
to their modern counterparts.

Nine Hands On interactives teach about
daily life in that period - a take apart home, a loom to weave with,
write your name in ancient alphabet, play an ancient board game,
grind wheat, sort foods eaten then and now, weigh shekels, create music,
haul water from a well, and the star of the show - milk a goat.

The signage of the exhibit colorfully follows a brother and a sister
who explain daily life while gently teasing each other.
Twelve large landscape photographs of Israel complement the exhibition.

This exhibit has brought additional audiences to SciTech - Sunday
schools, home schoolers and parochial schools. The reviews have been positive :
“Very well done! Very informative – liked the hands on parts! Awesome!"
"Informative. Sippy cup was unexpected. Enjoyed the hands on approach.
Wonderful job!"
"Awesome! This exhibit did wonders for our home schooling experience. Keep
it up!"
"...this exhibit was perfect for us. All of the stations brought to life what
we teach about the ways of life in the Bible times. Thank you!"
"We had a great time here! Good learning exhibits! The weaving loom was cool!"
"I liked writing our name with the first alphabet and playing the game!"
"I like milking the goat!"; "I loved it!”
