ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Hello everyone,
I joined this list recently, and the post below prompted me to explain
why I joined and ask you all for advice/assistance.

I am beginning to put together a proposal to start a new science
oriented play space in my community. We are lacking in indoor play
spaces and have no science center/museum closer than an hour away.
Right now we are in the beginning process of finding the right board
members and envisioning what the discovery space should be like. I
wish to emphasize the PLAY part of the science exploration partly
because of the needs/sensitivities of the community and party because
play is such an important aspect of learning. If anybody has any
resources, websites, advice, etc that they would be willing too share
with me, I would love to hear from you.

Sincerely,
Rachel Garcia
