>Anyone looking at the Manhattan street grid, of course, will
realize the special significance that we give to May 28th and
July 12th, the dates the setting Sun lines up with the
east-west streets. The changing angle of Broadway is clearly a
diagram of the Earth's seasons, the number of blocks to the
east or west of the street indicating the number of days
during the different seasons, and the eccentricity of the
Earth's orbit is depicted in the wider street grid in the
south of the island as opposed to the north. >

Hi Marc,

Do you suppose this could possibly account for the widespread
interest in the video game Pac-Mondrian, showing the gobbling
up of Mondrian's NYC street grid titled "Broadway
Boogie-Woogie?" A type of aligning with ancestral or primal
rhythms perhaps? hmmmm. Read all about the game in an article
in yesterday's NY Times. Or link directly

Happy New Year All!
