ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

The Children's Museum of Pittsburgh just opened a new exhibit space called MakeShop http://makeshoppgh.wordpress.com/, and held a mini-Maker Faire in conjunction with the grand opening of the exhibit spacehttp://pghmakerfaire.com/. I know that UPCLOSE (University of Pittsburgh Center for Learning in Out-of-School Environments) is doing research around the exhibit and related programming, so they would be good folks to tap.

>> I'd like to propose a session for ASTC 2012 about the DIY movement and Maker Faires related to science centers. We'll be hosting our first Mini-Maker Faire next year, in collaboration with the Columbus Idea Foundry. I'd like to talk to others who have hosted these or are doing DIY-related programming. Anyone interested in co-presenting and/or sharing their experiences around this topic?
