ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

I work at a science center called Science City, in Kansas City,
Missouri.
I am researching how to acquire a Hydrogen Tank for use in our science
demonstrations for the public (to fill up balloons). The local Fire
Marshall has not had such a request in his territory before. Can
anybody who uses a Hydrogen Tank at their science center/museum share
the rules and guidelines you have followed in order to store such a
pressurized tank, and what relation (if any) you have with your local
Fire Marshall. Any other details, such as tank size, supplier, and the
like would also be appreciated.
Currently we are making all of our Hydrogen by mixing Hydrochloric Acid
and Zinc.
Thank for your time.
