Please pass this onto your contacts. Our next webinar provides a lot of strategies and activities that help to build the vocabulary of young children. Presenter Kerry Zarlengo will also give examples that help ECE professionals see how what they do to build vocabulary can also provide strategies for students to think like scientists and hone their thinking skills. Whether you educate young children or provide teacher professional development, there are many examples in this webinar on November 7th that you can use right away in your classroom.

Young children enter school with vastly different levels of word knowledge, and research has revealed that vocabulary development is a vital part of all content learning. In this webinar, educator Kerry Zarlengo shares ways to use science content and activities to create word-rich environments that immerse ECE students in vocabulary development.

The discussion will also include mentor text, both fiction and nonfiction, for read-alouds because this best practice technique can also increase receptive and listening vocabularies when presented in a direct and explicit manner. You'll receive science-related ideas, strategies, and activities that will help build your students' essential vocabulary skills.
Participation in this webinar is free, registration required.
