We once used stickers like these. But they are an environmental disaster:
stickers ended up on street signs near the museum and were very difficult
to remove.
We now use wristbands with a small sticky spot that glues one end down to
the band, allowing easy and natural size adjustment. The adhesive is used
up when you put the wristband on, so no sticky reminders festooned around
the neighborhood.

Hi all -

We are currently using printed stickers to identify guests.  They work
great - people like to wear them and they are easy to spot across a
crowded exhibit floor.  Our issue is that the adhesive is quite strong and
it is difficult to remove the stickers from carpet, floor, wall, etc.

We are planning a "place sticker here" board outside the entrance, but
does anyone have any other suggestions, including suppliers for stickers
you use and are happy with?

Thanks -
