Interpreting Our Magnetic Sun - Free Online Workshop & ToolKit
October 1 - 12, 2012

Participants of this online workshop will receive a free toolkit of hands-on activities and demos related to daytime solar observing and interpreting the Sun. The workshop will cover the use of the toolkit materials and the background science, as well as how to organize daytime astronomy events. You should plan to spend about six hours on workshop activities over the course of the two-week workshop. Participants new to Astronomy from the Ground Up should also plan to spend about an hour the week prior to the start of the workshop for orientation to the website.

The Our Magnetic Sun ToolKit includes:
- The Sun in a Different Light Banner and Model
- Set of 11 Explore the Sun Cards
- Magnetic Connection Box
- UV Beads
- Set of 15 Where Does the Energy Come From? Cards
- PowerPoint: Space Weather
