I had not heard about Peter.....He was one of the first people outside  
my organization that I had the chance to meet.  He never treated me as  
a newbie 20 years ago, though I was.  One of the most thoughtful,  
insightful, and committed people I have known in the field.  I'll also  
remember him for all the amusing stories he "collected" and shared  
from his many years of experience.
