hi mike,
a couple of years ago, the national building museum did an exhibit on the
proposed development on the land surrounding the anacostia river in
washington, dc. while a large part of the exhibit focused on redeveloping
the area, there was a lot of information about the river over time,
especially how it got to be so polluted.
the building museum still has a live link on their web site with some info:

hope this helps,
grace

Hi All,

Does anybody know of any good exhibits that look at the environmental issues
of a locale from a historical perspective?

Mike
