Hi, Rachel.  That may have been part of the Franklin's Future Center project.  Barbara Punt was at the Franklin around that time working on future tech exhibits and would probably know the answer to your question.

Does anyone remember a networked exhibit done at the Franklin Institute in
the early 1990's that tracked visitors by type, e.g. teacher, child,
family?
