ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

Dear ASTC members,

The Program in Education, Afterschool and Resiliency (PEAR) at Harvard
University, Educational Testing Services (ETS) and
Missouri Afterschool Network are jointly implementing an NSF-funded
project to validate the Dimensions of Success (DOS)
Out-of-School (OST) STEM observation tool. The tool was developed based
on NSF STEM Evaluation criteria standards.

At the current phase we are looking for afterschool STEM programs in
Massachusetts and other New England States
(ideally- a 2-hr drive from Boston),where our trained observers can
observe. There is no time commitment required from
afterschool programs or teachers, and the goal of the project is NOT to
evaluate the afterschool programs in any way.
Rather, we are validating our tool by comparing inter-rater reliability
scores of our observers using the tool.

I am not able to attach additional materials to this email, however, if
you know of any afterschool programs that would
be willing to participate in our study, please let them contact us:
