Thanks to all who replied to my request for reports on the Galileoscope.
Please e-mail me off-list if you'd like a compilation of the responses.

Interestingly, my Galileoscope question to the ASTC list got four solid
pages of thoughtful, detailed, informative responses in less than 24
hours. By contrast, two weeks before, my question about giant-screen films
got only two useable answers in a week. I interpret this as good news for
astronomy.
