ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.
*****************************************************************************

ASTC and the Museum of Science, Boston are working to convene a group of science center and museum professionals who organize and implement public forums, community conversations, science cafes, and other forms of direct public engagement in science between scientists, policy makers, organizations, and/or other community members.

This workshop will kick off with the Museum of Science’s “Let’s Talk About Food” Festival, followed by a two days of presentations and brainstorming sessions. Organizers will collect and disseminate all results from the workshop to the field. Participant expenses for travel, hotel, and food will be covered or reimbursed.

If you are currently involved in a project that includes programming of this nature and would be interested in joining us at the Museum of Science June 25 - 27 to discuss current work and best practices, please send your responses to the following questions to Kate Crawford at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>. Please do not reply to this message.

Because organizers will cover expenses, including travel, room, and board for each participant, space is limited. As many participants as can be accommodated will be selected to represent as wide a variety of programs as possible. Sessions will be webcast for those who are unable to join.
