There is a loose network of science centers that have portable,
travelling exhibits that go to schools and other venues that goes by the
acronym NEON.
The group usually host a preconference session at the Association of
Science Technology Centers annual conference.

Thanks for shilling for the coolest session at the ASTC Conference,
Robert. :) NEON, btw, = National Education Outreach Network.

"Exhibits" can be sort of loosely defined; some NEON centers do indeed
have traveling exhibits that go to schools, libraries, community groups
etc, though many outreach-ers do what would more likely be called
programming.

Another center that uses exhibits in its outreach is SciPort, in
Louisiana.
