ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

As someone who has been interested in this kind of work for a long time
it is exciting to read about how youth programs are continuing to evolve
with meaningful and authentic work.
Preeti, are you thinking about an ASTC session on this? I think its
always important to keep the field updated on just what the partnership
of science museums/centers and youth can accomplish especially as the
NGSS move forward.

One team published in PLoS One. We're working on expanding the program. I'm happy to answer any questions about it and it would be great to see it replicated elsewhere.

I am specifically searching for programs where youth spend more than 50 hours working with the scientist, the program is based out of the museum, the youth have to communicate the work they did in some sort of paper or presentation, and the program is specifically designed for youth who may not ordinarily have access to such opportunities. So far I only know of us at AMNH, Yale Peabody and Smithsonian.
