Hi All,

Well we all remember the Thor Heyerdahl (if we're not too old or too young,
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thor_Heyerdahl) and it may turn out that his
"crackpot" notions weren't so
crackpot after all. New genetic evidence suggests that sweet potato genes
were transiting the Pacific
prior to european transit and trade, which would breathe new life into a
long dismissed and forgotten
theory.

I'm pretty sure you can get to this link without a subscription, etc.
