A favorite sun dial activity that might work is the Pocket Sunclock from Dennis Schatz:

Another good activity that can be quick and gives them something to take away with them is the Pocket Solar System:

With just a strip of register tape, you create a scale model of the distances to the planets' orbits, with results that often surprise participants and that can lead to some great discussions.

The Night Sky Network has dozens of astronomy activities available for free online. They are designed for use by amateur astronomers at star parties, so are usually quick demos that work in a variety of settings. You can browse them all here:
