Hello.. Another Accounting Question
We are having a discussion in our museum concerning Education Program
Revenue. Our program fees include a set price for the program, plus a
$1.50 admission fee for every student, and chaperones and teachers are free.
It terms of accounting, how do you account for the admission fees? Do they
get book as admissions or education programs? We have a small museum, so
the Education Programs Manager is the staff member maintaining (cleaning up
after the students and setting up the programs, so in terms of burden of
the revenue it comes from the education department. We would be interested
in how you handle this situation
Thank you for responses.
