For anybody out there who has a high-wire bike with a counterweight...I
ask you all to weigh in (yeah, lame joke I know) on this inquiry. We've
had a counterweight high-wire bike for 10 years at our science center
and the maintenance schedule has been overlooked several years past, so
we are looking to begin a new maintenance schedule to ensure safety for
our visitors.

I'd like to know what are your maintenance "best practices" for your
bike and the cable line?

Do you have daily, monthly, yearly checks on all the equipment, how
often do you turn and tighten the cable, do you have professional
engineers (or the manufacturer) inspect the bike and cable every few
years just to be safe, etc?

Please share. Thanks so much for any and all input.
