The Kids Science Challenge launched it's second year on October 1, 2009
The Kids' Science Challenge is a nationwide competition for 3rd to
6th graders encouraging kids to submit ideas to a group of scientists
and engineers. If their entry is chosen, the student gets to
collaborate with the scientists to see his/her idea come alive.
There are three science fields in this year's competition: Bio-
Inspired Design, imagining Sports on Mars, and Detective Science.
In the field of Detective Science, winning students will be working
with scientists at Syracuse
In the field of Bio-Inspired Design, winning students will be working
with scientists from University of California, Merced and Berkeley
In the field of Imagining Sports on Mars, winning students will be
working with engineers from NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
The first 1000 children to enter the Kids' Science Challenge receive
free hands-on activity kits.
The website offers extensive downloadable activities, videos, games
