Hi,
I use Flickr for my personal photo sharing and also for finding photos
to use in projects. The Flickr community has been extremely generous and
about allowing free use of photos for education projects.

One cool feature exclusive to Picasa is that photos can be easily
geo-referenced (Latitude and Longtidue added to metadata) and pushed to
Google Earth. Flickr has a "place photos on map" feature, but it's
nowhere near as robust as Google Earth. Depending on the content/purpose
of your photo collection, this might make Picasa a more useful tool.

Best of luck wit the project,
Nora
