We¹re considering including several small diorama-like exhibits our new
natural science exhibition. Our team has a lot of questions about impact of
dioramas, costs, etc.

1) Is anyone aware of audience research how visitors interact with
traditional or enhanced dioramas? For museums who have added to traditional
dioramas what has been the change in interaction and or learning? What
enhancements to traditional dioramas have been most effective in engaging
families?

2) How does one go about estimating the cost for a diorama? What is the
range of costs associated with different types of rendering? We¹ve seen a
lot of different types of renderings out there!

3) Is there such a think as a ³green² diorama?

4) How does one go about prototyping a diorama without building one? Are
there museums out there that have small de-installed dioramas that could be
borrowed or sold that we could then adapt in our prototyping.

Lots of questions!

Thanks,

Sara
