It's not only Roman Catholics who find the Intelligent Design campaign 
untenable and embarrassing. The Christians in Science website 
http://www.cis.org.uk has various carefully-argued articles opposing what 
one of them calls the ID "Trojan horse". For example:

Other links on the CIS website reveal how unhelpful it is - for those 
working to persuade Christians, for example, not to resist mainstream 
science - when a media spokesman for science portrays science as utterly 
incompatible with all religious faith...
