I don't have a manual, but I can tell you what I remember of the most  
helpful ones:

1.  Lots of pictures (Duh) - of what the crate looks like packed, of  
any major points in putting together, and what it looks like when  
completely assembled.
2.  Tools needed (if applicable)
3.  Sources for consumables or spare parts, if minor
4.  Condition report
5.  Start up and shut down procedures
6.  Troubleshooting (build as the exhibit continues on the road)
7.  Seven day a week contact info....
