ISEN-ASTC-L is a service of the Association of Science-Technology Centers
Incorporated, a worldwide network of science museums and related institutions.

True, but you can have several initiatives that have different target
audiences.......still, with regard to exhibits, I've always felt
layering of material is more rationalization than substantive...sounds
good, but doesn't do what it purports to do....i separate out each
initiative that I believe has a unique audience, eg. school visitors or
family visitors, once I understand that audience, I can then consider
the tertiary relationships, to see what the overlap might be. Then, if
it makes sense without diluting the original intent, you can find ways
that will meet both needs. (this is a long winded way of saying
layering has always felt like putting the cart before the horse.)
