	Well an Australian friend once told me how Australia adopted the metr
ic système in 1964 I believe. One day they went cold turkey and removed a
ll feet and inches and voilà if people wanted to buy groceries or gasolin
e, they must learn the metric système. That is the only way the US will a
dopt. In France we have always used the metric système and I believe the 
US only uses it for litre bottles of soda and for scientific applications
