The National Science Teachers Association Annual Conference: New Orleans, Louisiana, March 19-22, 2009

 

Join us for the INFORMAL SCIENCE EDUCATION SHARE-A-THON - the finale of Informal Science Day.

 

When: Friday, March 20, 2009, 4-6 PM

Where: Marriott New Orleans, 555 Canal Street

 

This invitation is for informal science educators in museums, science centers, community-based programs, media, aquariums, zoos, nature centers, parks, planetariums, science theater, and all other science-based out-of-school experiences. Please join hundreds of your colleagues (teachers in and out of school) for this lively opportunity to showcase your work and exchange ideas.

 

How to apply:

E-mail the information below to [log in to unmask]  by November 14th, 2008 with a heading that says “NSTA.”

            ►Your Name

            ►Your e-mail address

            ►Your institution, program, project or company name

            ►Street mailing address, including zip code

            ►Your website, if you have one

            ►25 Word Title of Your Share-A-Thon exhibit/activity 

►200 Word description of how you will use your table space and interact with the audience

 

Procedure:  All applications will be reviewed.  Deadline for submission is November 14th, 2008.  Due to limited space, please be sure of your commitment to attend the conference when you apply to participate in the Share-a-thon. 

 

The Share-a-thon will take place after Informal Science Day presentations. You are welcome to attend any of the sessions during the day. Setup time for the Share-A-Thon will be from 3-4 PM.  Each presenter will be assigned a table. Please note, electric power for each table will not be available, so bring battery powered equipment, if needed.
