For those considering wristbands, some info we gained during our recent trial:

Tyvek is recyclable only if you ship the wristbands (and envelopes too) to a DuPont center.  If anyone's interested I can forward the mailing address.

From a product life cycle perspective, considering environmental costs of construction, transport, and disposal or recycling, we haven't found the perfect solution if there is one. We searched for corn plastic/compostable bands but they are simply not available yet.  Did not pursue paper - but if anyone knows of recycled paper bands that are strong enough to serve this purpose, please do share your resource.

Many of our guests, especially the very young ones, were bothered by the wristband and took them off during their visit.  Some families flatly refused them.

Our staff found the wristbands hard to see because of coats, long sleeves, etc.

Just our experience - and Catherine - I like your idea of printing an agenda on the label.  Clever!
