Science Museum of Virginia hosts temporary exhibit of NASA's proposed
ARES Mars aircraft - Through May 30, 2007
The display includes a 1/4 scale model, three large panel graphics
showing the planned entry into the Martian atmosphere, and the flight of
the rocket-powered glider with instrumentation designed to relay data
about the Martian atmosphere.
Narrative video and interactive flight simulator are available in our
Tech Studio.
Note: The Mars airplane (ARES) is a NASA project in the planning
phase, but has not yet been designated for full funding.
