I am sending this to several lists, so apologies for cross-postings. I am on
this list and find it very helpful for both discussion lists and WWW sites.

TOURBUS EXTRA -- OCTOBER 24, 1995

This may sound kind of weird, but I have a favor that I would like to
ask of you. If you have any really good friends, co-workers, or media
contacts that you think might enjoy knowing about TOURBUS, would you
please forward the following e-mail letter to them?

Now that TOURBUS has moved to a site that can handle a whole bunch
of subscribers, I figured we should at least "spread the word" about
how great (and downright silly) TOURBUS really is :)

 =======================================================================

TOURBUS on [log in to unmask]

Are you looking for neat stuff on the Internet but have no
idea where to start looking? Are you starting to feel like
roadkill on the Information Superhighway? TOURBUS is for you!

TOURBUS is a bi-weekly e-mail distribution list brought to you
by the team of Patrick Douglas Crispen, author of the popular
ROADMAP workshop, and "Doctor Bob" Rankin, columnist for
Boardwatch Magazine and author of "Accessing the Internet by
   E-mail."

TOURBUS is a text-based tour of some of the coolest sites on the
Internet. Patrick and Bob serve as your tour guides, not only giving
you sites' addresses but also giving you an inside look at what
actually makes each TOURBUS stop "cool."

Unlike an Internet training workshop or course, TOURBUS has no
start or stop dates. You are more than welcome to "hop on or
off the Bus" at any time ...

... and, best of all, TOURBUS is absolutely *FREE*!!

TOURBUS' list rental fees are paid by our corporate sponsors, and
from time to time some TOURBUS postings may contain brief messages
from our sponsors. This is just our way of thanking our sponsors
for helping us keep TOURBUS free for everyone.

To subscribe to TOURBUS, send an e-mail letter to

        [log in to unmask]

   which says

        SUBSCRIBE TOURBUS yourfirstname yourlastname

in the body of your e-mail letter, replacing yourfirstname and
yourlastname with your first and last names. (*NOTE: simply
replying to the letter that you are reading right now with a
SUBSCRIBE TOURBUS YOURFIRSTNAME YOURLASTNAME command will *NOT*
subscribe you to TOURBUS; you *MUST* send a NEW e-mail letter to
[log in to unmask] with the SUBSCRIBE command
in the body of your e-mail letter to subscribe to TOURBUS).

For example, if you were ultra-cool mambo king Tito Puente and
you wanted to subscribe to TOURBUS, you would send an e-mail letter
to [log in to unmask] which says SUBSCRIBE TOURBUS TITO PUENTE
in the body of your e-mail letter.
